The SphaeraMag® Genomic DNA Fecal Purification Kit is designed for rapid and reliable isolation of DNA from fecal samples. Samples are bead-bashed, digested and lysed in specially formulated buffers to release the nucleic acids which are then bound to the surface of paramagnetic beads. Proteins and cellular debris are removed by washing of the beads.
The purified DNA is suitable for several downstream applications such as qPCR, end-point PCR, SNP analysis, genotyping, microarray analysis and amplicon based (16S, ITS) or shotgun library preparation for next generation sequencing (NGS).

The Kit is suitable for manual isolation or the use of automated systems such as: Phoenix-Pure 96; Auto-Pure 96; Phoenix-Pure 32; Auto-Pure 32; Auto-Pure Mini; KingFisher™ Flex Purification System.
